Our Church

New Life Christian Church was started in 1969 by Pastor Hopper and several believers whom God put within their heart to see a thriving Pentecostal Church in the Bridgewater area.  In 1973 the church became officially part of the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada.  From its earliest inception the church has had a desire to bring people into an experience with Jesus and disciple followers to be like Jesus in word and in deed.   The church rented a store front on king street then moved to its current location in 1978.  Over the years various ministries were started through the church as God had brought opportunities to minister to all people and especially children in the early days of the church.  A vibrant youth group was also formed.  Out of the desire to spread the gospel the ministry to the Dominican Republic was started by those attending the church and now is it’s own independent ministry known as Servant’s Heart Ministries. 

Today the church is still about proclaiming the gospel and the ministry of the Holy Spirit.  We are on the brink of another revival and know that God has given us a mission to show Jesus to all people and with that in mind we are earnestly seeking the Lord and wanting to see the power of the Lord displayed in our lives.  As Christ followers we hold to the truth of the Bible, His revealed word, and are eagerly awaiting His return.
